Keeping tabs on Monday's morning commute

Good morning, commuters!

Brrrrr. Bundle up if you will be taking public transit this morning and will be out in the elements. Temperatures are just on either side of zero with a biting windchill. AAA will likely get a few calls, too.

Transit users in Newport have a new option for taking the bus. The city's new transit station at Hwy. 61 and 494 opens today. Route 364 to downtown St. Paul stops there.

Once you are out on the roads, things are moving right along. No problems at this hour.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
