Good morning, commuters!

Roads in the immediate metro area are in good shape this morning, but there could be some isolated slippery spots as a band of light freezing precipitation moved through.

To the north and west of the metro in places such as Independence, Buffalo, Delano, Annandale and Monticello, MnDOT is reporting difficult driving conditions. Take it easy on Hwys. 12 and 55.

In case you missed it, Hwy. 101 between Pioneer Trail and Lyman Blvd. in Chanhassen is back open after being closed for construction for the past few months.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
