Good morning, commuters!

We begin the work week with westbound Interstate 694 reduced to a single lane from 35W to Silver Lake Road as weekend road work continues. Expect a second lane to open by 6 a.m.

In Bloomington, the resurfacing on eastbound 494 is complete and all lanes from 35W to Cedar Avenue are back open.

In Lakeville, the northbound lanes of I-35 from County 2 to County 50 are back open. Southbound still has one lane closed. That work project has a couple more weeks to go.

Metro Transit has finished its weekend track work on the Blue Line, and all stations between Mall of America and Fort Snelling are open. Trains running as normal.

I will keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
