It's Columbus Day and that means many government employees are off for the holiday, and thus, we can expect lighter levels of traffic.
That is the case as of now with most routes flowing at near the posted speeds.
Westbound 694 at 35W has reopened after it was shut down for weekend road work.
We do have one crash working at this hour. That is on eastbound 494 at 34th Avenue. The right shoulder is blocked.
I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.
If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
