Keeping tabs on Friday's morning commute

The Friday rush hour kicks off with no talk of black ice and roads that are in good driving condition.

Good morning, commuters!

The Friday rush hour kicks off with no talk of black ice and roads that are in good driving condition. But there is some light snow falling in portions of the metro, so don't go hell bent for election.

Currently we have a couple wrecks on the system. A vehicle did spin out on the ramp from westbound 94 to southbound 494 in Maple Grove. The activity is on the right shoulder.

The other incident is a wreck on northbound 35W at 694 in the Mounds View/Arden Hills area. A vehicle spun out and is facing the wrong way.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
