Good morning, commuters!

We start Friday with one accident on the system. It's on northbound Hwy. 169 at Canterbury Road in Shakopee.

Overnight road work is in progress on I-694 from Hwy. 252 to University Avenue. The freeway is down to one lane, but MnDOT crews are in progress of opening a second lane.

Look for lanes to reopen on westbound 494 at 24th Avenue and eastbound 494 at Lyndale Avenue as overnight road work wraps.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
