Keeping an eye on Thursday's morning commute

Give yourself extra time and keep the speeds down. It could be a tough drive to work today as just enough snow has fallen to make roads slippery and wet.

Good morning commuters.

The big snowstorm moving across the Midwest has dropped some of the white stuff in the metro area, and while it has not been much, it has been enough to make the roads tricky.

Roads are in fair winter driving conditions as light snow falls. The worst conditions will be in the south metro with slick roads. Freeways and highways in the northern metro are mainly wet.

Already, we have a semitrailer truck that slipped off of the road eastbound 494 at Hwy 5. Two lanes are blocked.

Give yourself extra time and keep the speeds down. It could be a tough drive to work today.
