Kate DiCamillo to appear at Children's Theatre

She will sign autographs next week

Best-selling author Kate DiCamillo, right, will be at the Children's Theatre Company next week, as part of of a fundraiser for the theater. DiCamillo is the Newbery Award-winning author of "The Tale of Despereaux," "Because of Winn-Dixie," the Mercy Watson series, and many other books.

After an on-stage discussion with the theater's artistic director, Peter Brosius, DiCamillo will autograph books, which will be for sale. Proceeds will go to the theater company.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children, or $45 for a family of four, and they are on sale now at the box office. Call 612-874-0400 or go online to www.childrenstheatre.org.
