Fans of Ricky Gervais may know about his old XFM radio show, and the emergence of an unlikely comic genius: his producer, and later sidekick, Karl Pilkington. He was easily the funniest thing on the radio show, for reasons that aren't easy to explain - his bad moods, his credulousness, his inability to stick to the point, the way he could nevertheless stick the landing when he came to the end of a tale, sending Gervais off on howling gales of gasping laughter. If you can find the Gervais / Merchant / Pilkington shows on the internet, you'll find yourself wishing they were still on the air. (They do podcasts now, but the bit is wearing somewhat thin.)
Well, Karl has a TV show, "An Idiot Aboard." Sky TV sent him around the world to stare with irritation and incomprehension in foreign locales. I'd embed the videos, but there are language warnings, so best you proceed yourself by heading here, to his home page. Enjoy!
