"American Idol" finalist Anthony Federov got positive reviews for playing the lead role in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at St Paul's Ordway Center last fall. That homegrown production, directed by James Rocco, opens tonight in Tokyo with nearly all of the same cast. The Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical is slated for a two-week run at the Tokyo International Forum. In addition to Federov, who has played Joseph in multiple productions of the show, the cast also includes Twin Citians Jairus Abts, Andrew Rasmussen, Timotha Lanae, Tony Vierling, Kinaundrae Lee, Reid Harmsen, Randy Schmeling, Lisa Bartholomew-Given, Marnie Buckner, AJ Eskridge, Jessica Fredrickson, Larissa Gritti, Brian Kim, Caliea Kohler, Joel Liestman, Anne Lukaska, Lucy Niver, Bridget Noltimier, John R. Sloan, Jered Tanner and Kameron Taylor. T. Mychael Rambo, who played Joseph's father, did not do the tour. Information and tickets can be obtained at this Japanese site.
