A mother and her daughter-in-law shoveling together outside their southwest metro home were roughed up at gunpoint and robbed of hundreds of dollars, authorities said.
Police in Jordan said Wednesday they are still on the lookout for the two men who pulled off the crime shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday on Spruce Circle in the Valley Green Mobile Home Park.
According to police:
The women were shoveling after a heavy snow when the men pulled up in a car and demanded money.
One of the women told the pair they had no cash, prompting one of the men to punch her in the face and put the barrel of a handgun to her head.
The woman surrendered her purse, while the other man knocked the other woman to the ground and robbed her.
Police put the total monetary take at about $600. The men fled in an older gold-color car.
Both women, one of them 25 years old and the other in her early 60s, received medical attention at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
