The public is invited to contribute ideas for development around the Blake Road light-rail station area in Hopkins. The city is holding four workshops, guided by design and development experts. Participants are urged to attend all four. All workshops will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Middle School Library at the Blake School, 110 Blake Rd. S.

• Monday, April 6: Initial discussion and information gathering.

• Monday, April 20: Block exercise. An interactive, hands-on exercise to construct feasible design scenarios.

• Monday, May 4: Developer discussion. A panel of developers and market consultants highlight challenges and opportunities.

• Monday, May 18: Creation of development recommendations, which will be submitted to the Planning Commission and City Council.
