Both center Chris Johnson and swingman Michael Gelabale will be around a little while longer.
Both signed a second 10-day contract with the Timberwolves, the team announced Tuesday. That means the team was granted another roster injury exception.
Johnson has appeared in five games for the Wolves, averaging 9.2 points while shooting 18-for-25 (72.0 percent). He has also averaged 3.8 rebounds while playing 17.2 minutes per game. Johnson, who was in training camp with the Wolves, came back to Minnesota from San Jose of the Development League.
Gelabale, who came to the Wolves from Valencia, Spain, averaged 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 21.8 minutes per game.
Meanwhile, center Nikola Pekovic and guard Alexey Shved could be available for Wednesday's game at Target Center against the Los Angeles Clippers -- Jerry Zgoda will know more after today's practice.
That means the Wolves roster could be as deep as it's been since Pekovic and Shved were both injured Jan. 17.
