John Thew, who has been managing director at Theater Latte Da since 2010, is heading for Colorado. Thew will take the same position with Theatre Aspen, effective Nov. 4.

Theatre Aspen is a larger organization. This year it is producing "Les Miz," "Fully Committed" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," to give you a sense of the programming.

Thew replaced Kim Motes at Latte Da. Under his leadership, contributed income has grown 65 percent and ticket revenue has gone up 95 percent. He came to Minneapolis from New York's Second Stage Theatre.

"Under John's leadership, we have seen major growth," said artistic director Peter Rothstein. Latte Da will conduct a national search for a new managing director.
