Priority, if elected: I have four basic priorities: affordable housing, public transit, civil liberties, and economic equality. I believe that sleeping and going to the bathroom are such basic human needs that it is immoral to have laws prohibiting people from doing the same because they lack an appropriate place to do so. I believe that children and teenagers should have equal rights with adults, except in areas where public safety would be impaired thereby. I believe that everyone, regardless of economic status, should be treated with dignity by the police and by society at large. I believe Minneapolis can become functional again.

Ideas for job/population growth: The City should take over ownership of as many businesses as possible, starting with a People's Power and Light Company and a People's Tribune newspaper.

Ideas to reduce crime: Legalize non-harmful "nuisance" activities to free up police resources to deal with real crimes that really hurt people, their property, or their sacred honour.

Ideas to lower property taxes: Get the state to allow us to impose a city income tax, based on where you work, so suburbanites pay for services they use too.

Did you support or oppose the Minnesota Vikings stadium package, approved by the city in May 2012? The only way I would support it is if Minnesota got ownership of the team. Green Bay has a community-owned team, why shouldn't we?

Should the city build a $200 million streetcar line along Nicollet and Central Avenues? No.

Should the mayor be allowed to appoint some school board members? No.
