"Storm Chasers" star Joel Taylor has died. He was 38.

The passing of the Discovery Channel reality show subject was shared late last night by Facebook group Team Western OK Chaser. Taylor's former "Storm Chasers" co-star also tweeted out a tribute of his own on Tuesday.

"Many people have asked how Joel passed away… There is no answer at this time," per the Team Western post. "The medical professionals are trying to determine the cause."

"It will most likely be quite a while before the medical professionals have those answers and when they do then it will be relayed to the family," an update to the Facebook group's original post continued. "I'd hope we would all just pray for them at this time because I know they have the same questions and are hurting deeply at his sudden passing. If you knew or know his parents and family you would understand that they are the kindest and sweetest people and are in great pain for the loss of their child and brother. Please lift them up in prayers and support."

Discovery Channel did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for a statement on Taylor's passing. "Storm Chasers" ran from 2007-2010 on Discovery.
