Job fair for veterans planned for Earle Brown Heritage Center

October 14, 2015 at 2:05AM

Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary have scheduled a career fair for veterans at the Earle Brown Heritage Center on Thursday.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center.

RecruitMilitary expects 40 employers to reserve exhibitor booths. More than 400 veterans are expected to attend and network with veteran-friendly employers, including the Mayo Clinic, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and Wells Fargo.

The event is free for veterans, who can register at events.recruitmilitary.com.

While registration is not required, event organizers say it will make the check-in process more efficient. Veterans are encouraged to bring copies of their résumés.

At its last event in Minneapolis, 53 exhibitors attended and 111 job offers were expected to be made. RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs in cities across the country since 2006.
