Welcome back Wolves guard J.J. Barea found a high chair and two rattles in front of his locker when he returned to Dallas on Wednesday to get his NBA championship ring. His teammates left them both as a baby-shower gift and an inside joke.

Barea and his girlfriend are expecting a child soon. The inside joke: During a game in Los Angeles a few years ago, Barea went to the free-throw line and superfan Clipper Darrell -- renowned for his heckling -- bellowed out for somebody to get that baby off the court, a line Barea's teammates found hilarious and just won't forget.

We're No. 27! The Timberwolves are ranked 27th out of 30 teams on Forbes magazine's annual list of NBA franchise valuations. Their worth is estimated at $272 million -- up 3 percent from last year -- and the mag says they lost $6.8 million last season. Only Atlanta, Memphis and Milwaukee are valued lower. The Lakers are No. 1, worth an estimated $900 million, followed by the Knicks and Chicago.

Stink, stank, stunk Here's how Chuck Barkley ranks the league's worst teams, and the Wolves aren't on the list: "We got some bad basketball teams in the NBA: Let's go with the Charlotte Bobcats and probably the worst team in the NBA, the Washington Bullets. Detroit is not very good, Toronto, the New Orleans Hornets, Sacramento."

The Bullets? "I call them the Bullets because I want to shoot 'em," Barkley said. "First of all, they should be called the Generals. Flip Saunders should have gotten a raise for getting three wins out of that team."

Instead, the former Wolves coach got fired last week and replaced by Randy Wittman, yet another former Wolves coach.
