The topic likely will be on the agenda at this month's Board of Governors meetings, It's a matter that will bring about lots of discussion and lots and lots of money if the league decides to adopt the idea.

Issues that still must be decided:

Whether the ads would be patches on uniform shoulders and large logos that would replace team names across the chest.

And what about team endorsements that conflict with league or player sponsors?

Ultimately the biggest question that will be answered: What's it worth to corporations to have their names and logos seen worldwide on live telecasts and nightly highlights?
