Most celebrities avoid the frigid Minnesota winters. Not Jerry Seinfeld. Almost three years to the date after his last stint in Minneapolis, the renowned stand-up will return to the Orpheum Theatre for two nights, Jan. 19 and 20.
The comic, recently nominated for an Emmy award for his Crackle series, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," continues to be one of entertainment's biggest draws, although he was surpassed last year by Kevin Hart as the genre's top earner with $87.5 million. Seinfeld, who long dominated that list, came in second at $43.5 million.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Tickets for the two shows go on sale 10 a.m. Oct. 21. Call 1-800-982-2787 or visit hennepintheatretrust.org.
