Jefferson, Love named to USA Basketball national team program

2010 World Championship and 2012 Olympic teams will be chosen from the 27-player program

USA Basketball has picked Al Jefferson and Kevin Love among 27 chosen players for the U.S. national team program.

From that group will come the rosters for the World Championships this year and the 2012 Olympic Games.

Returning Olympic gold medalists Carmelo Anthony, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBorn James, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and Deron Williams are in that group, as well as 2004 Olympians Lamar Odom and Amare Stoudemire.

Other players chosen: LaMarcus Aldridge, Chauncey Billups, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Eric Gordon, Danny Granger, Andre Iguodala, David Lee, Brook Lopez, O.J. Mayo, Kendrick Perkins, Derrick Rose, Gerald Wallace and Russell Westbrook.

Jefferson, Love and David Kahn will hold a 3:30 p.m. press conference at Target Center before tonight's game against Charlotte to talk about it.
