The Bloomington School District notified parents Wednesday that a student at Jefferson High School has been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus.

The district said it had seen an increase in the number of students reporting flu-like symptoms last week at its elementary, middle and high school levels. But the Jefferson High case is the only one that has been confirmed to be H1N1 virus.

The student was recovering at home, the district said.
