Priority, if elected: The political principal I am championing is "Stop Foreclosures Now!" I am currently facing eviction from the home I have owned for 30 years on the block I have lived on all my life, even though I have already paid $425,000 for the home my late husband and I bought in 1983 for $74,900. That is more than five times its current market value of $81,000. When Chase Bank and Freddie Mac foreclosed on me, they said I still owed $255,000. They got bailed out while homeowners got sold out. Minneapolis needs creative solutions to halt banks' destructive policies.

Ideas for job/population growth: Raise the minimum wage in Minneapolis to $15. Better tax incentives for businesses. Vacant properties should be turned over to nonprofits for low income housing.

Ideas to reduce crime: Bring back the Civilian Review Board of the police. Teach practical job skills in junior and senior high. Stop racial profiling.v

Ideas to lower property taxes: Tax at the market value of the home, not perceptive value.

Did you support or oppose the Minnesota Vikings stadium package, approved by the city in May 2012? I opposed it because the people of Minneapolis were not allowed to vote on it.

Should the city build a $200 million streetcar line along Nicollet and Central Avenues? Yes.

Should the mayor be allowed to appoint some school board members? No.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat. It’s too soon to tell how much the immigration crackdown is to blame.
