Jamie Foxx pummeled by fans for anthem performance before bout

Jamie Foxx turned in a headline-making performance of the national anthem before the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight.

But the Oscar winner was KO'd on social media in the process.

Foxx belted out what can best be described as a soulful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" ahead of Saturday night's title fight.

Unfortunately, he was ripped by boxing fans for having more twists and turns in the song than the actual fight.

"Jamie Foxx making me feel good about my shower singing," tweeted NBC journalist Luke Russert."

Comedian Mike E. Winfield added, "Jamie Foxx should've sang the National Anthem as Ray Charles."
