Jail time for weather forecasters?

Unlike in Minnesota where incorrect forecasts have no consequences other than a little egg on the face, forecasters in South Africa may face jail time if a proposed bill is passed, according to an article by the British newspaper, the Telegraph.

The law would require independent forecasters to get the approval of the country's national weather service before professing to know what Mother Nature is up to.
