However, recent media reports suggest a memorial service may takeplace this coming Tuesday at Los Angeles' Staples Center arena or the city'sColiseum stadium. Various sources are also speculating on a final resting placefor Michael at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. A spokesman forJackson's family could not confirm the reports.

Jackson's family did issue a statement saying the pop star would not beburied at his Neverland Valley Ranch in California and no funeral or memorialservice would take place there. Plans are underway for a public memorialelsewhere and would be officially announced as soon as possible.

For the thousands planning to venture out on Tuesday, the mood may besomber, but morning clouds will give way to sunshine. Temperatures are expectedto start the day in the lower 60s, and are forecast reach 80° in theafternoon, which is typical for early July.
