For more than three decades Jack Zahr dedicated himself to the physical health of the Saint Thomas Academy student body. Jack's legacy is the students he taught in P.E. and health, the athletes he coached in cross country, track and Alpine skiing, the coaches he mentored and supported, and the sports facilities he helped build and manage as athletic director.
His students, his athletes, his coaches, and the STA community all owe Jack Zahr our admiration, our respect, and our thanks. And for those who were lucky to have known Jack personally, we know what we have lost. And that loss is un-replaceable. Zahr passed away in September 2013, after a massive stroke.
