Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has written "Courage to Stand." Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has "No Apologies." Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee knows that "Character Makes the Difference." And former everything Sarah Palin has been "Going Rogue" since resigning as governor of Alaska.

If Congresswoman Michele Bachmann wants to be taken seriously as a presidential contender in 2012, she must take a page from each one of her fellow Republican aspirants' playbook and write her own book as the next logical step in a potential bid for the White House. Given her love of tea parties, perhaps Rep. Bachmann could look to a character in Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" for inspiration. She could title her political memoir (what many in the blogosphere have already dubbed her), "Michele Bachmann: Mad as a Hatter." Much like Governor Pawlenty did in "Courage to Stand," Rep. Bachmann could use a vehicle like "Mad as a Hatter" to further ingratiate herself with the ultra-conservative faction of the Republican Party. Wrapping herself in the flag, this could be her treatise on God and country that propels her to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – or at least her own show on Fox TV. After all, Rep. Bachmann didn't become the hostess of the Tea Party without having the requisites to do so. The trick to wrapping yourself in the American flag is that you want to make certain it drapes over your shoulder ever so slightly so that constituents can still see you wearing God on your sleeve. This has never been a problem for the fashion-forward Congresswoman. A graduate of Oral Roberts University law school, Rep. Bachmann's credibility with the extreme right is only enhanced by the fact that her husband owns a Christian counseling center. A photo of the Bachmann family, with the Congresswoman sitting on her husband's lap, graces Mr. Bachmann's business website. Which brings us to family. Tim Pawlenty has two beautiful daughters. Mitt Romney has five handsome sons. Sarah Palin has Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig and her grandson, Tripp. But when it comes to family, even the "mama grizzly" has nothing on Rep. Bachmann. The Congresswoman has raised five children and been a foster parent to more than 20 others. So Rep. Bachmann has love of God and love of family. That just leaves love of Ronald Reagan to win the Republican Party's ideological trifecta. Given the frequency with which the Congresswoman invokes the memory of the former president, no one will question her devotion to "the gipper." Indeed, some are calling Michele Bachmann "Reagan in pumps." Someday Congresswoman Bachmann will probably announce she has secured a book deal. She might not call her book "Mad as a Hatter," but no matter the title, we can be certain that its content will be crazy.
