Iron Man 2 gets praised, panned

Hopes are high.

The first "Iron Man" was so unexpectedly good some people just wanted to be tranquilized for two years so they could wake up and immediately see the sequel. Now it's here, and the reviews are all over the place. Harry Knowles loves it LOVES IT:

Harry tends to land on the excitable side, but he's speaking for the target audience. Others are less thrilled:

Jeez, someone had a bowl of Cranky-Os for breakfast. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 82% (update: 83%! What, did the world's smallest and least-read critic weigh in?) but many reviews all seem a bit tepid or apologetic. I'm not worried, even though Mickey Rourke's super-power seems to be whipping things. BTW, If you're wondering what it means to be a total comic book - movie geek, here's Harry again:

Yes, it certainly does. That is a problem. Stay tuned; no doubt the Strib's Colin Covert will weigh in.
