May 25, 2012 at 2:04AM

June 18-19: A new round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the six powers will be held in Moscow.

June 28: U.S. sanctions go into effect against foreign companies that continue to engage in oil transactions with Iran's Central Bank.

July 1: A European Union ban on Iranian oil imports begins.

ON THE TABLE

What the six powers want: In the inconclusive Baghdad round of talks this week, a package of incentives was offered to get Iran to halt the production of 20 percent enriched uranium, send its stockpile of such uranium abroad and close its heavily fortified Fordo enrichment plant.

What Iran wants: Iran seeks to have sanctions targeting its oil industry scaled back and an acknowledgment from the six powers that it has the right to enrich uranium for civilian purposes.
