Iowa warehouse sued by Hormel

Minnesota-based Hormel sues Iowa warehouse over meat damage.

WATERLOO, IOWA - Hormel Foods Corp. of Austin, Minn., is blaming a Waterloo, Iowa, warehouse operator for damage to millions of dollars worth of meat during last June's flooding.

Hormel says Crystal Distribution Services was negligent and breached its contract when floodwater from the Cedar River leaked into a warehouse basement through a floor drain. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. AP
