The state is home to 2,639 gun dealers, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the federal agency that regulates the gun trade. Most of those dealers operate from their home using the same license required of a gun shop. The license, called a Federal Firearms License, costs $200 for three years, with a $90 renewal fee.
