Heavy thunderstorms will persist across parts of Texas through tonight, bringing large hail and potentially damaging wind gusts. The storms will slowlyexpand toward the east and northeast through the night. The storms will also produce torrential downpours, which will greatly limitvisibility for travelers and cause ponding on some roadways.
Much of this region is still under a serious drought, so the heavierrainfall will have some benefits.
