It's not hip to only be square

It's been a week since Instagram blew everything up and reinvented the wheel. OK, maybe it wasn't that drastic, but photos no longer need to be square on the social network. Whoa. That's like Twitter expanding a single tweet to 200 characters (please don't do that, Twitter). With the latest update, Instagram users can now easily upload photos in portrait or landscape (instead of using a third-party framing app). Some users relished the newfound freedom. Others wondered: Why tweak a good thing?
