A look at the Vikings NFL rankings after Week 3

Week 3 in the NFL is officially over so we'll take a look at where the Vikings rank in several statistical categories.

Below is the category and their league ranking:

Total offense: 18

Rushing offense: 7

Passing offense: 26

Total defense: 4

Rushing defense: 12

Pass defense: 4

Here are some other statistical notes:

  • The Packers lead the NFL in turnover margin at plus-8. They have nine takeaways and only one turnover.
    • The Vikings are tied for fourth in turnover margin at plus-4.
      • The Vikings lead the NFL in average starting field position at the 35.5. Percy Harvin leads the NFL in kickoff return average (35.8) while Darius Reynaud is No. 2 in punt returns (17.3).
        • Adrian Peterson still leads the NFL in rushing with 357 yards.
          • The Vikings don't have a receiver in the Top 50 in the league in receiving yards. Harvin leads the team with 128 receiving yards.
            • Harvin leads all rookies in scoring with 18 points. Peterson is tied for second in the league among non-kickers with 24 points.
