This is the first in an occasional Star Tribune series that will look at the efforts to close the persistent achievement gap between white students and students of color in Minnesota. Despite its relatively high test scores, Minnesota has had one of the widest gaps in the country for years. Frustrated schools are trying new and different ways of attacking this chronic problem.
