WHAT: The Ramsey County Library is putting plans for the New Brighton branch on the fast track, but it wants to hear from patrons before construction begins.

WHEN: The library will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Monday to allow users to weigh in on the facility, which will be housed at the New Brighton Family Service Center, 400 NW. 10th St. The public also can e-mail feedback and suggestions for improvements to ah@rclreads.org.

The Ramsey County Library closed its Arden Hills branch in December. The move is expected to save the county $150,000 per year.

Remodeling of about 4,700 square feet of the Service Center is set to begin in April with the library to open in November or December. The Ramsey County Board approved $1.5 million for the project.
