A recall has been issued for beaded door curtains sold exclusively at Target after reports of three children getting the product entangled around their neck and injured.
Anyone who has the curtains installed should take them down immediately and contact the manufacturer for a full refund, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said this week.
The maker of the 79,000 or so curtains, FAB/Starpoint of New York, received three reports of entanglement. The injuries, occurring since January 2009, involved a girl nearly choking, another girl suffering cuts to her neck and a third girl being pulled off her feet and momentarily suspended. She came away with scratches to her neck.
The Chinese-made curtains were sold under the brand name Circo at Target stores nationwide and at www.target.com from January 2009 through May 2010 for between $13 online and $15 in stores.
For refund and other information, consumers can contact FAB/Starpoint at 1-888-333-2684 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. CST Monday through Friday or by visting www.fabny.com.
