Fall decor ideas

Autumn is right around the corner, bringing a fresh seasonal look to the Bachman's Fall Ideas House. The historic family home has been dressed by Bachman's designers with new paint, furnishings and decor, including new items, repurposed pieces and vintage.

Trends on display include terra cotta hues highlighted by cool blues, mixed metal accents and kokedama — string gardens that use moss as the container. Highlights include a pumpkin-patterned porch with copper and wood accents, a black-walled industrial-style study; and a beer pub with faux brick walls and beer cap artwork.

The Fall Ideas House will be open daily Sept. 8-Oct. 2. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon. through Wed.; 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thu. and Fri.; 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat.; and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun. Tickets are $5, on sale at bachmans.com or by calling 612-861-7311. The house is at 5936 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls.
