A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Indonesia on Sunday morning, localtime.This quake was felt across the same area that suffered greatly from the9.1-magnitude earthquake and following tsunami that claimed the lives of morethan 200,000 people on Dec. 26, 2004.
The center of the earthquake was about 40 miles from Banda Aceh, a region thatwas hit particularly hard by the 2004 earthquake and tsunami.
There were no initial reports of damages or injuries and no tsunami watches orwarnings were issued for the region.
