Investigators are looking for an Indiana man in connection with a northern Minnesota homicide last month.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Daniel Gregory Lynn, 40, of South Bend, Ind., on Tuesday.

He was seen near Duluth and the cities of Virginia and Mountain Iron at the time of the homicide, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

Officials believe he has gone back to Indiana but may still be in Minnesota. Officers described him as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 210 pounds and bald with a mustache and goatee and tattoos on both sides of his neck.

On June 26, an agency in Indiana contacted St. Louis County Sheriff's Office for help in a missing-person case. Christina Marie Woods, 28, of South Bend, Ind., was reported missing there to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department earlier this June. It was believed she had traveled to Minnesota.

On Monday, authorities found her remains in a shallow grave in Beatty Township near the Kabetogama State Forest. Woods' relatives owned the property where she was buried, authorities said.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office's preliminary autopsy indicated she died of homicide, authorities said. Officials determined she died sometime around June 11.

In addition to the Minnesota and Indiana sheriff's offices and medical examiner, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and St. Louis County Volunteer Rescue Squad are assisting in the investigation.

Those with information about Lynn are encouraged to call the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office at 218-742-9825.
