Whoa: either I'm just not paying attention, or this came out of nowhere. Actually, it came out of New Zealand: stuff.nz says Indiana Jones 5 is on track.

You're practically screaming at the computer right now, aren't you? "What about Shia? TELL ME SHIA WILL BE BACK." Yes.

Okay, I don't buy that for a second. As much as Shia lamed up the movie with his Fonzie act, he didn't ruin the movie, and the CGI didn't ruin the movie. The script and the general sense that everyone spent the first hours on the set looking everywhere for the Old Magic ("I checked underneath the dressing room trailers, it's not there") made it seem a bit flat, but it was still Indy. If they eschewed big CGI setpieces, though, that would be fine. Bring back real rolling bolders and real chases where Indy crawls under moving vehicles and real Nazi heads melting when the Ark of the Covenant is opened.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
