Igor No Monster

September 8, 2010 at 7:25PM

Igor... Nice name for a tropical storm. Wasn't that the name of Dr.Frankenstein's assistant? You remember Frankenstein. He was the guy thatcreated the so-called monster.

Well, Igor is no monster now, but it could become one in time. The storm willcruise toward the west-northwest across the open Atlantic the next few days andshould get to hurricane force over the weekend. Furthermore, there is arealistic chance the Igor will become a major hurricane (Category 3 orstronger) at some point during its life span.

If Igor were to have any impact on the United States, that wouldn't occurbefore the very end of next week.

Stay tuned for the next chilling tale.
