Un-Cruise Adventures: Un-Cruise's Safari Endeavour is a 232-foot-long expedition vessel carrying a maximum of 84 passengers and 35 crew members. Transfers, excursions, meals, drinks (including liquors and wines) and one massage are included in the price for the seven-night Baja Bounty adventure cruise. Prices begin at $2,995 (Un-Cruise.com, 1-888-862-8881).

How to get there: Passengers fly into Mexico's San Jose del Cabo International Airport (sjdloscabosairport.com), at the southern tip of the Baja California Sur peninsula. They are met at the airport by Un-Cruise staffers and transferred to a private hospitality room in the Barcelo Grand Faro Los Cabos Resort. In order to ensure arrival by 2:30 p.m. on the day of embarkation, some passengers fly in the day before and stay at the all-inclusive Barcelo or boutique Casa Natalia hotel, which can be booked with the trip. On the day of embarkation, passengers receive passes to all restaurants and activities at the Barcelo until buses depart for the ship. Un-Cruise also offers pre- and post-cruise land excursions.
