The sleazeball from "Mad Men" thrilled and confused patrons of Clubhouse Jäger.
Vincent Kartheiser, who portrays sleazy Pete Campbell on the acclaimed, Emmy-winning AMC show, reportedly told Tuesday night bar patrons he was back in his native state checking out real estate.
"He's looking for a house," said Judy Grunstrom, an architect and blogger at JustJudyJudyJudy.com. There's a photo of her with Kartheiser at JustJudyBits.com. "He grew up in Apple Valley. He was out with his friends, maybe three or four who live here," she said.
IF Wikipedia's accurate, Kartheiser may be in the market for something minimalist: He reportedly has been giving away or selling everything he owns, which is consistent with living ascetically, eschewing automobile ownership for walking and using mass transit. He currently lives in a bungalow he describes as a "wooden box" with no mirror.
"He's got a pretty distinctive voice he uses when he does that Pete Campbell character," said JustJudy, who was at the bar with an exec from the Onion. "The guy from Brooklyn [N.Y., who works for the Onion] just thought he [Kartheiser] was some dude from Minneapolis who looked like Pete Campbell. [Onion guy] was like, Oh my gosh, you can even do the voice! Then I said, 'It actually is him.'"

Lucinda Winter, exec director of the Minnesota Film Board, said on Wednesday and Thursday, Theron is expected to shoot scenes for "Young Adult," which reunites director Jason Reitman with "Juno" screenwriter and former Twin Cities stripper-turned-writer Diablo Cody. "Without going into detail, there are several locations," Winter told me.
