The names of two people killed in a head-on collision in southern Minnesota were released Monday.

Jonna M. Martin, 35, of Lakefield, Minn., was killed early Sunday afternoon when an oncoming car on County Road 90 near Mankato crossed the center line and hit her car, the State Patrol said.

The other driver, Mark A. Chalin, 23, of St. James, Minn., was the subject of a "driving complaint" shortly before the collision, the patrol said. Chalin was hospitalized in Rochester with unspecified injuries.

His driving record includes tickets for improper passing, failing to yield and two alcohol citations as a minor.

A passenger in Chalin's car, Amber M. Menezes, 23, of Mankato, also was killed, the patrol said. Chalin and Menezes were not wearing seat belts, while Martin was, according to the patrol.
