Authorities have identified a man whose body was recovered nearly two weeks ago from the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis but have not said how long he had been in the water.

Rodulfo S. Jojola of Albuquerque, N.M., was pulled from a river spillway midday on Dec. 4 under the Interstate 35W bridge, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said. His body's discovery came one week before his 39th birthday.

Investigating agencies have not said how or where Jojola ended up in the water.

Hennepin County sheriff's deputies and Minneapolis police responded to the scene just past the St. Anthony Lock and Dam, where first responders found the body.

Jojola was an extreme-heights construction worker.
