As the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown continues in Minnesota, lawmakers on Capitol Hill questioned the leaders of ICE and Customs and Border Protection during an oversight hearing.

In addition, Gov. Tim Walz said he expects the federal immigration operation to soon wind down and federal leaders have “assured us that I think we are moving towards that.”

“It would be my hope that [border czar Tom] Homan goes out before Friday and announces that this thing is done,” Walz said.
