The lakes are freezing over very quickly. We received very little snow so this weekend people should be moving around on some of the
lakes. Big Sand froze over Sunday. Fish Hook has be froze for about a week. People are starting to wonder out on Portage and Pickeral. Caution is best on early ice but all indications for a good ice fishing season are in place. The American Legion will again be holding the community fishing derby on Feb 6th. Tickets are now available for Christmas giving.
