The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close a segment of westbound I-694 Thursday night as concrete repair continues.
Starting at 11 p.m., the westbound lanes will be closed at Hwy. 100 in Brooklyn Center. The lanes are expected to be reopened in time for Friday's morning rush hour.
During the closure, motorists will be directed south on Hwy. 100 to westbound I-394 and north on I-494.
If the work is not completed Thursday, some lanes at Hwy. 100 might be closed on Friday night, but a full closure won't be necessary, MnDOT said.
Another overnight closure will be planned for next week to saw and seal expansion joints, MnDOT said. The date has not been set.
